Description

This helicopter wreck was deliberately sunk in 2018 to serve as an attraction for divers at the “Honoratka” diving base. Resting at a depth of 18 meters, it creates an intriguing underwater scene. Nearby lie its engine and two crates, adding to the realism and storytelling of this submerged site.

Helo: Mil Mi-2 Hoplite
The Mil Mi-2 is a light Soviet multi-role helicopter, first flown in 1965, designed for transport, training, and light attack missions. Known by NATO as Hoplite, it features a twin-turbine powerplant and a conventional tail rotor. Widely exported, the Mi-2 served in both military and civilian roles across Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia. Its versatility, reliability, and ease of maintenance made it one of the most successful light helicopters of its era.
